Whilst the snow on our Queenstown ski fields is running late this year, across the western face of the Remarkables ski field is the Garvie Mountain Range. Here the snow is dense and plentiful, and the only wilderness snowmobile experience in New Zealand!

Queenstown Snowmobiles, in conjunction with Glacier Southern Lakes Helicopters (Queenstown’s #1 helicopter company as per TripAdvisor), are proud to bring you one of the most adrenaline-pumping, action-packed winter adventures… with the added bonus of stunning scenery & views for the duration of the entire trip!

This two hour fully guided snowmobile adventure starts by taking you on an exhilarating 13 minute scenic flight (approx.) over the Remarkables Mountain Range, over the Hector Mountains & across the Nevis River Valley, where you land at the base of the Garvie Mountains.

After landing at the snowmobile base you will gear up (you are provided with warm overalls, helmets, gloves, and boots) and have a safety briefing with your guide. 
Your guide will ensure you can operate your snowmobile safely and comfortably. 
There is a maximum of 6 passengers per trip so you reap the benefits of a small group experience.

You are then lead through the stunning back country by your expert guide, along the central most inland mountain range in New Zealand, cruising to an altitude of up to 6,000ft above sea level.  Stunning scenery and views will astound throughout the whole experience! With stops along the way for some amazing photo opportunities of the spectacular landscape.

A return scenic helicopter flight to Queenstown will ensure the adventures doesn’t stop, even when the snowmobiles do!

We recommend you dress warm (as if you are going up the ski field), sensible shoes and bring sunglasses and a camera.
